    Yup. A lot of people have damage and just 15 minutes away on Pine Island a lot of people have devastation. Wiped out a lot of shops we go to on Matlacha, including a nice ice cream shop. On a happier note a little farther out on the island at St James City where a lot of things were flattened...

    Yup new roof is on. I knew somebody who owns a roofing company. It going to be a while before many people get rid of their blue tarps.

    Having some friends over for Oktoberfest dinner. The local Oktoberfest was cancelled after the hurricane so we’re having sauerbraten, knockwurst, bratwurst, red cabbage, kartoffleklöße, and beer and German wine. Pictures later.

    Retirement VS working

    I did my time. Upstate NY by @winemaker81. Foothills of the Adirondacks. School in Syracuse NY. Very snowy. Drive 40 minutes to work every morning. Worst part is when it was -26° and you sit on your car seat to start the car hopefully and the seat was hard as a rock. Foam rubber didn’t do well...

    Wow ! I’ve read here that tomato wine tastes nothing lie tomatoes, I started my tomatoes about 2 weeks befor hurrican. Still picking up a fe that survivived. Garden gonna be late this year.
