    Glass or Plastic Carboy ?

Plastic only, I no longer use glass for anything except small containers. Too damn dangerous, even when you are careful. Having said that, plastic can split, but I've not had that thrill yet. Using Seidels, Fermonsters, and Better Bottles. As for racking and bottling - I use a vac system to...

Cork uses grow ... and it's sustainable

Nothing wrong with using cork. Submarine insulation in WW2 was cork.

    Carboy Purchase Recommendations

I have rid myself of glass and won't go back. I use Speidels, Fermonsters, and Better Bottles (which are only available used). Yes they cost more than glass, but they are light and don't break easily.

    Volume of Speidel Tanks

The rated capacity and what they will actually hold is 2 different things. I use 20L (5.3 gal) Speidels for my pre-filtering rack. When I completely fill them they will just hold the entirety of my 23L kit, so with an airlock I can let them sit for a month, as it's topped up. Speidel allows...

Bungs: Solid or not for long term storage?

When you say solid, do you actually mean solid or those vented silicon bungs? I use the vented silicon bungs, but I could not recommend the solid bungs for any wine storage. I use solids exclusively for keeping dust out of empty carboys. As air pressure rises you risk popping a solid bung...

    Finer Wine Kit Primary Fermenter

Actually I do use the yeast & oak, but those are easily obtainable. I have the oak on hand as I always double up anyway. If I could just order the juice & skins pack I'd happily supply my own yeast and oak. Might get me to try different yeast strains and different toasts of oak.

I also toss everything @wineview mentions. I also use Fermaid-O & Go-Ferm. So far I've been pleased with the results

    New Product for Removing Labels

Ugh no. A mask will not help with airborne acetone particulates, you need a respirator for that. You should never use acetone in small, confined spaces.

What temperature should I ferment rc212 at?

Good for you guys with basements. I'd have to build a refrigerated room to ferment at those temps. In the winter my wine room runs about 72, in the summer 78. That's the way it is.
