    I don't think it would be a mistake, in fact it would be a good experiment to see which batches you liked the best. A pretty controlled experiment since the base kit would be the same for all the batches.

    As far as the water to be added - Matt has said that the Forte kits contain more concentrate than the Tivoli, so with the winery series you are achieving the same result by varying the water. Tivoli kits are always a little thinner than the same Fortes. One could probably make a std Tivoli FWK...

    Viable plan. If I'm thinking of getting a WE then I will double up on the skins pack from LP. In fact, in the fermenter right now is a FWK Meritage & a WE Carmenere. I had LP send an extra skins pack. How can it hurt?

    If you don't add it until it goes in the 1st rack after fermentation is complete then the SG effect is zip.

    Yeah, adding unfermented must does risk fermentation restarting. Do you have other mead to top off with?

    Immediately after fermenting most, if not all, wines taste poor. You probably won't know how it will really taste for 2 years. At 1 year you should be able to taste how it's developing, but it will still be immature.

    Because EC1118 is a super yeast - it will ferment water (almost). If anything will unstick the ferment, EC1118 is the product.

    Yep, always compare. Just had to order parts for my wife's iRobot Roomba. Part was $129 on Amazon, from several vendors, just for fun went to the iRobot store and ordered the same part (except an official iRobot part) for $64. You have to compare.

    You have to report it - I just did. Even though it's a pain to find, once you get into a chat session with a real person they will quickly refund the money.

    Well the member did say Italian. Nothing against FWK as I make a lot of them, but they are all Cali grapes. Now I'd choose the Reserve line from Winexpert or the Cru Select from RJS as the floor, but buying the higher juice kits does not always mean a better wine. I have made Mosti All-Juice...
