    need different Avery labels

I print my labels with an ink jet printer then I coat them with an acrylic sealer called Mod Podge, gloss or matt finish. However, the largest carboy I bottled once was 5 gallons, all the rest have been 3 or 1 gallon runs.

    Storing Barrels with Tap Water

My approach to this was you wanted to store the barrels wet and not make wine with the water. In my research on this subject I found varying amounts of ascorbic acid used to dechlorinate. In my particular situation I was filltering chlorinated water (8 drops per gallon) and then treating it...

    Storing Barrels with Tap Water

You can decholrinate water by adding 1 tsp of ascorbic acid (vitamin C) to 1 gallon of water. One tsp of ascorbic acid weighs 4 grams.

How many people does it take to change a lightbulb on WMT?

Just about 2 hrs ago I proved that point with the clothes dryer. Loaded it with wet clothes and pressed the ON button. Nothing. Checked CKT breaker - Ok there. About to go get my multimeter when I took another look at the control panel of the dryer. Mine has 2 knobs, one for time the other...

    Camden tablets and acid blends

I lost a couple of trigger squirt bottles because I forgot to empty them when done. I've switched to lab style squirt bottles. I get the 500 ml ones.

    Camden tablets and acid blends

I add citric acid when mixing K-meta. Keep reusing it until the odor has noticeably diminished or there is extra stuff floating in it. Last generally 6 months to a year.

    Cork sanitizer

@Ohio Bob: Have you ever stuck your nose over an open jug of Kmeta juice and INHALED? If you do this, please have someone standing by to help you to fresh air. However, my advise is don't do this. YEARS AGO, say 1960s & 70s, I was advised to boil the corks before inserting. Bad idea, they...

Is dandelion wine worth the work? Opinions please!

Wife has a friend who deals in antiques and collectables who often times comes by gallon and half gallon carboys. She'd let me have them for $2 a piece. Have about 6 or 7 halfs and 10 to 12 gallons then went the way of Carlo Rossi wines a few times. Probably totaling 15 gallon carboys now..

    When to rack?

I do the same as @winemaker81, but I have a mild case of OCD and I plot the changing SG for S & Gs. 😁 It does help me to keep track of how fast the fermentation is progressing. No two fermentations are identical.
