    Elderberry wine

I've been making Elderberry, sweet and dry, since 1960. Fermented on the pulp 5 days max, and I'm still here. Maybe it's the tannins in Elderberry that are preserving me. Most people who don't like it have tried it when it's young. Time works wonders! ☺️

    Vacation

I met a former colleague in the park. He had three little kids, the oldest one was four years old. 'My God!' I said. 'You didn't waste any time after you got married.' He replied, 'It happens every year. My wife gets pregnant every time I have a vacation. This year I'm going to take her with me!'

    · A pensioner drove his brand new Mercedes to 100 mph, looking in his rear view mirror, he saw a police car behind him. He floored it to 140 , then 150, ... then 155, ... Suddenly he thought, "I'm too old for this nonsense !" So he pulled over to the side of the road and waited for the police...

1,800-year-old wine cellar discovered near San Gimignano New findings about wine in Roman times

As yet, I've no more info. I just copied it from the Wein Plus page. What you were saying about the Italian police reminded me of an incident years ago in Sorrento. In those days they had two different sorts of policemen, the Guardia who wore guns, and the civil police. At a crossroads, a...

During excavation work in the Roman Villa Aiano, which dates back to between the fourth and seventh centuries AD, a large hall measuring 30 by nine metres was discovered. It was supported by six pillars. Thirty...

68 years and I still recognise the times when I would reach for a ***. These days I reach for nuts, crisps, cheese, the wife, or usually WINE. 😃

We've had it a lot of times over here. A few years back, my wife and I were at the Ideal Home exhibition in London when an IRA bomb went off. We were damn lucky as we had just gone down to the ground floor when it exploded on the 1st floor. Big panic, a bit shaken, but we were okay. I was a...

Marijuana surpasses alcohol in daily use for Americans, study finds

It's sad really, not just the drinking, smoking MJ, or vaping. It's the addiction that goes with it! I packed up smoking 67 years ago, my only regret is that I didn't bank the cash I was saving! :slp:h
