    Degassing

There is really no need to put an inline vacuum gauge - just keep doing what you have been doing - KISS = KEEP IT SIMPLE SILLY

    Degassing

The bulb should not deflate till it reaches approx 10 in hg (when new) This is what I tell my customers = When using the headspace eliminator - don't let the pump run longer than 1 minute. The bulb is supposed to be collapsed - that tells you that you have vacuum in your carboy, it will start...

    Degassing

Question for the group = Has anyone else have able to remove CO2 with as little as 5 in hg ( other than Rice_Guy) pulling a straight vacuum in a carboy ? I have noticed in my years of experience, that it needs to be around 12-14 in hg (depending on temp and other factors) - I do see how you...

    Carboy/keg washing equipment

I saw this and I would like to do the same thing in my utility sink - It could be very useful. I might make it removable so it would not get in the way.

    Buon vino mini jet .

Filtering your wine is a personal preference, I will tend to filter more often now than when I first started. I take alot more pride when I give a bottle away to a friend. Using the in house cartridge filter makes it painless to filter as you are literally racking as you are filtering, It...

Can You Recommend a Check Valve?

@mikewatkins727 - Thanks for the clarifications ! Can you please let @RickD know when you purchased this pump as for the last 2 years we no longer drill the 2 1/4'' hole in the upright. BTW = How do you like that filter set-up ? How many gallons (roughly) per cartridge ? I really like...

Can You Recommend a Check Valve?

I do not see what you are looking at ? I don't even see the vacuum release valve in this picture ? Or are you referring to the precision vacuum valve which is mounted on top of the vacuum reservoir bottle ? The large 2'' hole came standard from the beginning and we just recently (approx 2...
