I've had some that only stayed in carboy for 2 months because we were running out! Longest I have left in was 7-8 months. Usually leave in carboy until it tastes good, then filter leave another week or two and bottle. I'm not trying to win any competitions just want drinkable wine.

I use a razor blade scraper and a brillo pad for the stubborn glue. Save up 5-8 bottles, wet all the labels and go to work with the razor blade. 15-20 mins for 6-8 bottles.

I also made this and it was OK according to my wife (I don't really like whites). We wanted some wine to use for cooking and occasional white drinking.
