You are exactly right!! They probably also 'have people' who select, open, decant and pour the wine for them.
I think that takes too much of the fun out experience. That is why i do it myself (also can't afford 'people').
I also have the Barolo. Added oak in secondary for about 4-5 weeks and racked into 2nd carboy. Samples taste really good. Still bubbling a bit with tiny CO2 bubbles when smacked around. I'm following advise here and forgetting about it for awhile. Kind of hard when it is right in my line of...
