    California Traffic Fine - NEW

Holy something but this is worse than crap. I was planning on a Napa/Sonoma trip this year but may rethink thator hire a driver. With just a couple of these tickets I will spend as much as a Tuscany trip.

Mosti Mondiale La Bodega Port (Double Batch!)

Mike, I made this guy 2 years ago (single kit) and fortified with VSOP. It took right at 1000 ml to get it up to 17% ABV. Iadded an additional med toast French spiral for 2 months. It came out with a very nice vanilla tone and I must say at this point the Brandy has blended in very well as Bill...

First Kit - so far, so good

Flem, I just picked up a MM Masters Pinot Grigio and have it in the primary as we speak. According to Joseph this one of the bestItalian style PG (dry, citrusey). If you want an off dry kit give them a call as there are others that they will likely recommend.

    Wine Storage Temperatures

I also live in Texas anduse an interior closet. We keep our house in the upper 70's in the summer. For that reason I only make wine during other seasons when the house is coolerand do thebulk aging and bottlingthe rest of the year.

Mosti Mondiale Mosti All Juice Barolo

I have made other brands with grape pack up to nowbut plan on trying a Mosti with grape pack. One other thing I did on my last AJ kit was add additional oak and Tan-Cor. This helped considerably. I also agree with Mike, purchasing separate grape pack would be a good add for these kits.

Mosti Mondiale Mosti All Juice Barolo

Ratflinger,I have made several Original All Juice kits and felt the same as you. To me they didn't have enoughbody and seemed weak. I havea Barolo in this kit that isover 2 years old now so it isn't an age issue. For this reason I have started makingkits with the grape packs.

Cellar Craft CC Showcase Rosso Fortissimo (Super Tuscan)

This jewel (the wine kit that is) may be next on my list to make. Any comments on the level of earth tones to this one? I typically don't care for Merlot or Malbec because of the earthiness.

Cellar Craft CC Showcase Red Mountain Cab-enzyme pack

Glad to hear. It is easy to sample along the way until happy with the level of oak. Are you saying it got stronger with sampling while bulk aging or now that you are opening bottles?

Cellar Craft CC Showcase Red Mountain Cab-enzyme pack

Out of curiosity, do any of youadd additional oak to this kit besides what came with the kit or is the supplied oak dust and beans sufficient?Just started this kit 1 week ago. Can't wait.

    Chilean Carmenere

Do you know if this is a fairly new kit in this series or has it been around a while?

    Chilean Carmenere

Honestly the one I had my eyes on is the RJS Winer Series Chilean Carmenere with Carmenere Skins. The Cellar Craft blend it also sounds great.

    Chilean Carmenere

No decision yet. I will likely make other kits first to give me timeto talk to George about these and pick his brain.

    Wine & Health

I am a firm believer in the health benefits as well. The "often infirmities" Waldo quoted has all but disappeared for both my wife and I. We started drinking red wine about 10 years ago and since then, neither of us hasbeen sick at all. Nocolds or flu or anything. Just the occasional sinus...

    Chilean Carmenere

I am looking for recommendations and tasting notes on theCarmenere kits? Several available look really good. In the last year we have been trying different commercial wines and find them to be hit and miss. Some are great but some are so-so. I guess that's true for all wines.

Cellar Craft Bottling Day For CC Showcase LR Cab/Shiraz

Great looking as always. I also will be curious to hear about this one. I have been pondering making the Darlington Point Shiraz.

Cellar Craft CC Lodi Old Vine Zinfandel w/Grape Pack

    Great job on the label.
