So it’s been at least a year since making any bread. I even had to create a new starter a few weeks ago. I put this sourdough together yesterday, proofed in the fridge overnight and baked this morn. I see spaghetti and garlic toast in tonight’s future.

I’ll check that out, it does seem to be a gear problem. It’s was also starting to bog down and overheat under pressure. Thanks!

It’s with a heavy heart I have to report the unexpected demise of kitchen aid pro 5. Twenty two years old, she had so much more to live for ….. On a happier note she went out doing what she loved, cinnamon rolls AND my new cast iron, matte black, 5 qt. Tilt up kitchen aid should be here today!

@meridaen the plants seem to mostly make the right choices themselves. The vigorous shoots put out nice clusters while the shoots that were smaller, less leaves etc. had clusters that wouldn’t develope fully. I’d drop the weaker in favor in more vine growth and hopefully double the shoots and...

Mike, I hadn’t realized how mature or how many vines you have until I went back to the beginning of this post. Do you have any wide angle shots of how you fit all those in your yard and how much wine you generally get from them?

I took some brix readings today and I'm between 18 and 19.5 on a small sampling. I've read that you can expect about 1 brix point per week, not sure if that applies accurately in AZ but I'm hoping to reach 24 so early sept if things keep going well. A few more pics, pretty much dupes of past...
