I'm sure they'll get to it at some point. If not, I'm still switching to FW kits for the most part, with a few RQ's and/or LE's thrown in for regional variety.
Yes, but it's bulk aging and only on it's second racking. Still too soon to tell how it will turn out. If it's anything like the RQ17 French Cab, I'll be happy with it.
The popularity on 2021 RQ's is low since RQ's have been difficult to source in recent years. Wish Label Peelers would pick...
They should feel free to voice an opinion. Trying to shame or slander someone in order to force them into fitting into their idea of PC, is where it becomes shady and cancel cult-ish.
A free market is a free market right up until a supposed "authority" gets their hands into the pie. Then we end up with the problem we've had for at least 100 years now, crony capitalism.
Need some dressing for that word salad? Capitalism is simply a free market. Any distortion of that, or "invisible hands" and we no longer have a free market.
It can mean multiple things. In this case total dissolved solids. In most cases it's a certain ex president still residing in people's heads rent free.
I added the cubes that came with the Zin to ours, and I'll likely add more at the next racking and possibly the next two if it's not where I like it. Did the Merlot come with any oak? If not, I'd definitely add the spiral.
Having made both within the past several years, I think you may have lucked out. French Cab kits from RJS have been nothing less than stellar, whereas the Nero D'Avola offerings have been a bit less excellent/consistent.
