    A big thank you

It is good that you were able to politely pass on some of the wine making info you've learned.

    Best grammar jokes, bar none.

    Sadly I don't get them all. :(

Had one from the middle 80s to the early 90s. Besides hauling kids it turned out to be a pretty decent utility vehicle. [BTW, my crew was mostly into British bikes. I rode a Triumph 750 and lusted after a friend's Norton 850.]

"Won't you be my neighbor?" There are only two lots left to be sold in Hills Creek Estates. These two remaining lots (each just a bit over 2 acres), that you see in the picture below, adjoin my property on my western borderline. Picture was taken yesterday morning as the sun was still low on...

    hello from hull

Think I was doing kit wines only for about 2 years before trying my hand at fruit/country wines. I now do both but favor the kits.

Is this CO2 or unsettled sediment in my carboy?

I'll often get that... There is a member here who will place the carboy on a lazy susan so she can more easily "shimmy" the carboy. Being a macho former Marine I don't use no stinkin lazy susan. :p:)

    Stupid!

If it were mine I'd simply put the airlock back on and forget it ever happened. Even if well degassed the wine might very well still be giving off some CO2.

The 60 in. 4 Drawer Hardwood Workbench is on my wish list.

    Why are my bottles breaking?

Shouldn't be. I've used hundreds of green, brown, yellow, frosted and clear "flat" bottomed wine bottles and have never had an issue.

    Hello From Pittsburgh!

Welcome to the forum! I'm also a Keystoner but from north central, PA near the NY border. Judging from your uploaded pick it would seem that you've accumulated a fair share of wine knowledge. Are you yourself a wine maker?

Yeah, but us wine making Yanks do think in terms of liters for bottles and wine kits. That part of the posting still has me confused.

Welcome to the forum! You say you have a 60 bottle kit but is what you have actually two 30 bottle kits? Most all the kits I'm familiar with are 23L (~6 gal.) 30 bottle kits. Also, for a 23L kit i believe you'll find most of us here using a 7.5 gallon fermentation bucket or even larger for...
