    Cleaning Concrete

I keep a 5 gallon bucket of star san around. I get mold on the underside of the lid. It was kind of shocking the first time I saw that.

If you have white vinegar on hand you could give that a try. It might even work well as a follow up or pre-treatment for the TSP since one is acid and one is alkaline. That should be enough to shock the mold in terms of extremes.

Post a Meme, any Meme! (no politics)

Well, without knowing details, or the truth of the matter, this is kinda sad. If she truly was mentally ill the system worked like it should have. She recovered, reformed and went on to be a useful member of society until she was retried in the court of public opinion and subjected to 'double...

Maybe the eye doctor teamed up with the proctologist? I'm sure the photo was judicially circumcised.

    Silly Q about Lactobacillus supplements.

You make a sour dough bread starter by leaving it out to be contaminated by the stuff in the air like lactobacillus. If your supplement is a loose powder then use some caution if you are going to be making wine and opening buckets. If the supplement is a live bacteria then a little into the...

    Grape flour

Sounds like they are trying to sell what is left over POST fermentation. They are probably all used up flavor wise. I'd ask for clarification.

Corona Virus & Day to Day

I found this an interesting read and it so far seems to be under the radar. https://scitechdaily.com/potent-neutralizing-antibodies-isolated-from-covid-19-patients-could-be-mass-produced-to-suppress-virus/

You have to 'toss your cookies'. ;) Seriously. I have my browsers set to clear cookies when I close them. Sometimes I have to go and clear a site, like the Post, to read something.

    Tart Cherry Pink Pee

I was initially underwhelmed with SP. I started using it to mix with my tart cherry juice which I started taking for inflammation. I liked the results. I just did a second batch of SP with some tweaks that I thought would make it better. I've had some of the stuff that didn't go into the...

    Concentrated wine

While science is involved, at the end of it all, wine making is a culinary art. Personal likes should be the goal. I don't know your current situation on packaging but do you HAVE to make all the same or can you have a separate guest offering?

Bottled my first batch and did not stabilize ... After bottling and stored in basement it seems like yeast is still active ...

Pretty much what cmason said. But, old was it when bottled? By stabilized do you possibly mean fining? It looks like it was properly settled or racked before being bottled. If the yeast were that active you'd have corks or bottles starting to pop.

Corona Virus & Day to Day

On last night's news there was a blurb about the Oxford vaccine having a T-cell response and potentially lasting years. I think Moderna did say theirs kicks up a much higher anti-body response than recovered patients show so should last longer, but it sounds like it could be two shots a month...

Taking on a vineyard project - Merlot

Well, when the wine is being consumed? I suspect they sell all they grow and probably don't care much past that. One possible caveat. Over pampering, watering and fertilizing can produce larger but tasteless fruits and vegetables in some cases. I'm sure you'll taste a few from each section...

Corona Virus & Day to Day

Now that it is known that asymptomatic people can spread the disease it should be a wake up call to everyone. This surprising development really changed the dynamic about what we collectively understood about the disease. This isn't hard and making a political football/statement out of this is...

Corona Virus & Day to Day

Yeah. There are warnings that the first solutions will be way better than nothing but far from perfect. I'll be happy with something good enough to let me hug my grand daughters again.

Corona Virus & Day to Day

Current data suggests that herd immunity, without a vaccine, may be a myth because anti-body effectiveness may be gone at 3/4 months, especially in people with less severe or no symptoms. Slowing the spread also saved lives because it gave the science and medical communities more time to...

Corona Virus & Day to Day

My daughter-in-law sorta has to go to her brother's wedding tomorrow. Long sad story there that I'll spare you from and myself from typing. ;) I had a friend with some spare N95's from a bad fire season in California so he sent me some. I gifted 1 to her and 1 to my son. I told her if she...

Corona Virus & Day to Day

I think we're also starting to see people claiming 'medical exemption' to NOT wear a mask like the people smuggling small ponies onto airplanes as 'support' animals. I saw one woman screaming she couldn't wear a mask for medical reasons. Her lungs seemed to be in fine shape. ;)
