Problem solved, tossed them in the dumpster. I figured free bottles, no sense in taking that chance.

Lol. I bought them used. And they are stored off site until I need them. All my bottles are scrubbed, cleaned with one step, and hit with kmeta. If I find anything that has mold or anything else growing in the bottle it just gets tossed.

I’ve got 8 bottles of apple wine from 2014, it has turned to vinegar. I know I don’t want that crap in my wine making area but do I dump the contents, clean the bottles and continue or do I toss the 8 bottles in the trash? 2 things to consider, 1 I’m bottle poor right now (got 22 cases...

I filled my van up yesterday, but in my defense I have to drive to Kingston and back 3 times next week.

I would NOT blow it out with an air compressor, if you get any of that oil or nasty tank water you might as well throw it out.

I rinse mine, spray some kmeta into it, swish it back and forth to coat the whole tube and then hang to dry.

Most places it‘s 100 per adult in household. For me it’s 200. But imagine you have 6 legal drinking age adults. Wine for days. 😂

I have to disagree, I made it according to the recipe the first time, the second I tweaked it some. Third time tweaked a little more. After that I use the last recipe as my standard. the beauty of this hobby is the only way to do it wrong is if it comes out totally UN drinkable

I added it right before bottling on a mixed berry. It boosted the abv but my god I could taste the harshn of the everclear. I’ll not use that again. Next time I’ll use mixed berry vodka or something like that
