    messed up again K-meta overdose.

Commercial wines have that much and more. Is the wine finished? As in ready to bottle?

    Recurring nightmares.

I tell her I’m not responsible for her wild dreams and to get over it. After 34+ years of marriage I guess I’m tired of the crazy dream madness.

    Recurring nightmares.

I’ve had some doozies. Not sure if they would be considered nightmares but some I’ve had are pretty weird. Had one where we (family and I) were in another country and I had left something in the hotel room that we had to have, went back to get it and the family left without me (took all the...

    Let's get all caught up.

@JohnT , I questioned your blend of 2/3 merlot and 1/3 cab. I thought to myself “why”. So I went and got 2 bottles and did a mix (no measuring), and wow. That sure blends nice. Thanks

@Johnd better batten down the hatches. Unless something happens it looks like it’s going to be a bad one.

    Carboy carrier

What a waste of a carboy. The fact the bag held together is impressive.

Anyone making 100% Norton wine here?

I’ve made straight Norton, and blended with scuppernongs and it’s better blended. Straight it’s got an “inky” taste (unless you water it down)

What you do is make it wider than taller. Ie, crop the top or bottom just a bit.

The precision valve replaces the little tube coming out of your overflow bottle, has a valve that you can open and close to slow down or speed up the flow.

    REVIEW: *allinonewinepump*

I have the adjustable valve turned down where it creates no foam (or very little), my corker is on the counter Beside my bottle filling station. I’m tall so I can use my floor corker on the counter. It’s a pretty simple setup.

Headspace eliminator for sure, adjustable vacuum valve absolutely, (if you’re working alone when bottling you can adjust it to where you can cork one while filling the second. Filter is good too. I gotta get me some of those carboy tags soon

Walkers Juice or Home Winery concentrates?

Never used walkers but www.homewinery.com make some good stuff. Their 1/2 gallon jugs make 5 gallons of wine. But if you want more flavor then only add 4 gallons of water instead of 4 1/2. It’ll have better flavor.
