    Corks

The short and long answer is NO! Whether the screw went all the way through or not the cork has already been compromised when it was compressed to go into the bottle, and again as it was pulled out. Additionally the cork has been contaminated in so many ways. Absolutely do not reuse a cork on a...

    Wife Upset with Label...

Ok Bill, This time I have to agree with the wife. If it was my wine, the last thing I would put on the label is Walmart fruit even if it was. Some things are just a sacred secret I wouldn't admit on the bottle. To you guys, I brag about the great deal I got!

    Sparkling Wine using Soda Stream!

Mike thanks for posting, I am a fan of Soda Stream. I've been using it for about two years now at work.I use it for bench trials when I want to make a sparkling wine and see what it might turn out like. Problems with "three piece" corks

I am on about my fifth bag of them without issue. Without issue because I learned early on you need to have the worm all the way inserted into the cork. I use a waiters corkscrew. Frozon Must 2500 lbs

Very nice, too bad you had to destroy that $300 tote by cutting the top off of it, but at least you have a new fermenter for in the future.

    Wine bottles

I believe the bigger problem is on extraction, but with both being risky. If you're going to do it you certainly have the right corkscrew. The bigger issue would be someone using a waiter's corkscrew that applies pressure on one side of the neck.

Rocky this is just a couple miles from my house. There are several nests in the area. We also see them soaring over the vineyards along Lake Erie.
