No. I had to add a little over half a bottle to get it up to that point. I will taste it after it sets for this three months.

I did cover the carboy with the cardboard box it came in to keep it out of the light.

Checked it this morning and it was .996. Racked it over to the carboy and added 1/4 tsp kmeta and stirred it good. Going to start a batch of Merlot now.

I forgot to add I will be using a racking cane and not a vacuum pump.

Thanks, let me see if I have this right. Rack it over and add 1/4 tsp of metabisulphite. After three months repeat. Add the others and stir in a few days before I want to bottle.

The kit says to rack into a carboy and add Sulphite/Sorbate and Kieselsol, then stir and degas. Can I just stir them in without degassing and let it degas on it’s own? It says to add Chitosan the next day and stir that in. Will it be good like this in the carboy for three months or do I need to...

Getting close. It is at 1.000. I will check tomorrow and rack into the carboy.

I make the pattern and then tape it to the wood. Cut it out with a scroll saw. Then you just stack and glue. The one in my picture is 15 inches in daimeter.

Thanks. The first one I can’t remember what the bottom is. The top is lace wood and the final is ebony. The bowl is a piece of apple from the neighbors tree that was cut down. The third one is just pine with gunstock stain.
