Off smell on white juice bucket

It was already fermenting by the time I got it back home so I assumed yeast was already added by wine shop or vineyard? I did not add any nutrients. Regarding the remediation, is this what I need?

Off smell on white juice bucket

I picked up my Chilean viognier juice bucket two months ago. I have racked it three times now using the all-in-one. The taste is good but it has an off odor that my sister-in-law says smells like sulphur to her. It seems completely degassed. Should I bottle it and hope the odor dissipates over...

I hope it doesn't devolve into an ugly version of what it was. Seems typical of social media; take a good and robust discussion/debate and try to ruin it by attacking the people and not the arguments. I certainly don't believe "gas grows on trees", but there is still no agreement on exactly how...

Excellent viewpoint. It's all personal choices as to what works for you. If you live in California, for example, electric cars are way more attractive. They are heavily subsidized; since 2010, California has handed out over $800,000,000 of taxpayer money to put battery-electric, plug-in hybrid...

Does look like there's a lot more inefficiencies in the process than most people think. https://mpoweruk.com/energy_efficiency.htm

Research suggests "global battery shortages" to intensify - "According to a Bank of America Global Research (BAC) report, there is a looming threat of the global battery supply for electric vehicles (EVs) running dry by as early as 2025. The report states that BofA expects global battery...

Unless there's a Flex Alert in California, for instance, when they don't want people to charge their electric vehicles between 4-9 pm - they will probably turn off those charging stations. And the faster they charge, the higher the current demand so even more important to shut them down. But, I...

Which red FW kit do you think would be best to make with no skins. Just want something to drink sooner rather than later. Thanks!

Disclosure - I am not a big "car" guy because I just think that they are a huge waste of money that could be used for other things... like good wine! Face facts - any decent car can move you from point A to point B safely and comfortably. Most cars depreciate 40-60% in value in the first 5...

Can I still use old chemicals to make Dragon Blood?

I made a batch of DangerDave's 4 years ago and have all the additives still. All were purchased from a local supplier who has closed their location that was near me. They have been stored loose in small ziploc bags. Are all (any) of these still good to use - tannin powder yeast nutrient...

Buying Juice Pails in North Carolina

Hello fellow NC winemaker! I'm in the Raleigh area and have bought some from down in Wilmington (2 hour drive for me). They just got the Italian/Californian buckets and get Chilean buckets in the spring. Let me know if you find any other sources, thanks!

Can I blend kit wine and juice bucket wine?

One web site shows these as good blends. Perhaps I make a Chilean Carmenere, and add some of my Petite Verdot?

Can I blend kit wine and juice bucket wine?

I made the Verdot kit from WE. I'm sure it's a "blend" already, but I've read that Verdot is good for blending so I figured I'd try taking part of the completed juice bucket, add a bottle or two, stir and bottle. See what happens o_O

Can I blend kit wine and juice bucket wine?

Only my second experience with juice buckets, but I don't believe any MLF is involved. I did an Italian bucket in the fall, so I'm going to try some Chilean this spring.

Can I blend kit wine and juice bucket wine?

Example - I have quite a few bottles of Petite Verdot from a kit - 2 years old. If I make a batch of Chilean Carmenere from a juice bucket, can I uncork a few of the Verdots, blend into the finished Carmenere and (re)bottle it?
