RJ Spagnols Add elderberies to kit?

I like the idea of using a different yeast for the second batch! As a newbie, I can compare and contrast the results down the road to understand how the wine is affected by different yeasts. It's the RJS Cellar Classic Winery Series, and it comes with EC-1118 yeast. What would be a suggested...

RJ Spagnols Add elderberies to kit?

I would add to the primary in a mesh bag. I don't really know what the pros and cons would be for the primary vs secondary.

RJ Spagnols Add elderberies to kit?

Somehow I ended up with 2 Super Tuscan kits that I need to make. I was thinking of doing one straight up according to the directions, and then change up something for the second one. Any thoughts on adding an 8 oz bag of dried elderberries to one of the batches? I'm new to this, but I do...

However, I decided to split the batch into half bottled before adding the meta, and bottled...

    DangerDave's Dragon Blood Wine

regarding my post #3444 I'm still thinking about my goal of lowering the final alcohol percentage. Isn't there a way to stop the fermentation early, at say 1.02, to keep more of the sugar intact instead of the yeast converting it to alcohol? Since the Dragon Blood recipe calls for...

    DangerDave's Dragon Blood Wine

newbie mistake already Hi All, in my first attempt at Dragon Blood, my SG read 1.12 after adding my sugar. I then completed step 1. The only deviation from the original recipe was that my lemon juice was a 40 oz from Walmart, and I added one star anise, a cinnamon stick, a whole nutmeg, and a...
