I'll give a guess... free advice and all;-) Get a 12 volt phone charger and wire it to your pump.

Being a rookie winemaker myself, I take the advice to not snap the lid on tight. I just set it on the top of cover with a towel. I generally stir just once a day.

Go get some from Costco. It's not bad and you'll have a batch started. Some will need a year to age and mellow.
