Rayway, Thats what I tell my sisters when I visit them at their summer houses. Be careful that Peach Apricot Chardonnay will sneak up on you.
BTW my brother-in-law, aka wine snob, drank a whole bottle of my "homemade" peach apricot chardonnay last summer. Lol, bakervinyard
Racked my pressed apple cider and my Chilian Pinot Noir. Recieved my Eclipse Pinot in the mail today. Also working on a wine rack for my son to hold the Malbec I made for him. Only problem is the wife likes it to much won't have enough to fill the rack. Lol. Bakervinyard
Don't know exactly how many carboys I have but In the fall I had 14 different wines ageing. Doesn't really matter I get enjoyment from making wine. If I need another carboy I buy it. My better half enjoys drinking them as well as my 2 grown children. Bakervinyard
Going to try making a mango and blackberry from fruit. Also will make at least 12 gals of peach chardonnay, the kids drink it like lemonade. 18 gals of my house merlot. Thats just for starters. Bakervinyard
Anyone have any updates on their apple wines. What stage are you at. Flavor profile, clarity, backsweetened, bottled. I just checked mine 2 days ago, fermented down to .992 nice and clear going to rack to bulk age tomorrow. Bakervinyard
I got a Merlot wine kit, a stainless steel tube to put oak chips in, a gift certificate to LHBS. Framed photos from my daughters wedding and finally a I-Phone. Best feeling from the holidays was drinking just my own wines no commercial stuff, priceless. Bakervinyard
Christmas Eve we start with home made corn choder then grilled lamb chops and tenderloin, grilled asparagus, fingerling potatoes and new this year mac and cheese. Dessert is apple pie and cheesecake. Christmas morning we have a early brunch before my daugter and son- in- law go to New York to...
Kim, I can't wait till my table looks like that.
Kim, At one point this year I had 14 different wines in carboys. 6 Gal, 5 Gal and some 1 Gal. My wife asked a couple times "just how many carboys do you have?" LOL, Bakervinyard
Taking the wife in town to a high-end hotel for afternoon tea for her birthday. She really enjoys tea time on our cruises so I'm surprizeing her today. Bakervinyard
Tom, I would be glad to send a recipe for bread to you, we make it in 100 loaf increments. How many do you want to make 200 ? LOL. Right after the holidays I'll send you a formula. I'm too stressed out with the holiday production in work to do anything now. Bakervinyard
Put together the gingerbread houses for our annual decorating party. We've been doing this for 20 years since the kids were small and they would come to our bakery and want to help decorate the gingerbread houses for the store. Great family tradition and a lot of fun. Bakervinyard

Vacations were taking the bus to the beach. We had a family dinner every night and you weren't late or else. Big Sunday lunch and the whole family watched Lassie. Played with Matchbox cars. Pretended we were in the army and we all had toy guns. Stick ball in the street. Camping in the...
I made the Chocolate Raspberry Port a little over a year ago. Same thing happened to me, got stuck at 1.020. I tried to restart fermentation and was unsuccessful. I went ahead and stabilized, fortified, cleared, and bulk aged it. Bottled it and enjoyed it for Thanksgiving. It was really good...
Tom, Doug, Both my kids moved out when they went to collage. When my daughter graduated 7 years ago she got an apartment with 3 other girls. She hasn't lived at home for 8 years, she got married this summer. My daughter and her husband sold their house and havn't found another one yet. They...
Geek I've used the White Labs MLF and more often then not its a problem. It's the only one my LHBS carries and I don't care to buy on-line. Bakervinyard
