    I was just reading an article on Potassium Metabisulfite. When I racked my wine, I added the KMeta powder directly to my wine, should I have mixed it with water first then added it?

    I have a question about sanitizing and filtering. I'm looking to get the Buon Vino Super Jet. When using KMeta to sanitize the filter pads and tubes before filtering wine, do I need to run regular water through it to flush the KMeta out?

    ok so I degassed today. But to give some history, after I racked the first time, I didnt have enough to fill up a second carboy so I had to fill up four 1 gallon jugs. So, after degassing today, I didnt have enough to fill up my last gallon (picture included), so there is quite a bit of space...

    Thank you...I still have about an inch of sediment in my carboys. Should I rack a couple of times before I degas to get as much of that sediment out?

    When should i de-gas? When I know all sediment is out after I've racked 2-3 times? Is this the proper order: stablize, clarify, degas, filter?

    Two more questions: 1. When will I know its time to bottle? 2. Should I mix in K-Meta again when I do bottle?

    When you say K-Sulfites, are you referring Pot. Metabisulfite or any sulfites in general? Also, when it comes to PM, should it be added to your must 2-3 days before the yeast? This is for next year.

    Thanks NorCal. Yea, I only used bleach on the glass, didnt use on plastic, didnt want the plastic absorbing it.
