Tell me I'm being too cranky...

Exactly why I buy from local small business men like Presque Isle wine and Windy Hills wine. I don't care what the internet price is, these businesses are local to me and provide excellent service and value!

L'uva Bella 2015 Meet and Greet.

It looks like I will miss this one as well, I'll still be in Florida. Someday maybe the meet and greet will be later in the season. I am planning to buy 15 or so buckets, Petite Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Sangiovese and Zinfandel.

The Vintner's Chair: Phil "PJD" Deets

Thanks Thig, your assumption is correct. The wines just have to rest for the 3 months were away. I just make sure the airlocks are secure and filled with vodka.

    Cleaning carboy

Mine is a couple years old now. Replacement pads are available, I just bought a set but have not used them yet. I generally always have 30 to 40 carboys going so this tool does get a lot of work.

    Post your high-mileage cars here!

I just parked my old 1997 F250 4x4 Diesel with just over 600,000 miles. I was the second owner when I bought it with 40,000 miles on it. It went through 2 transmissions and one set of glow plugs but the frame rusted away and it could no longer pass inspection. I'm going to miss that truck, It...

    Cranberry Citrus Mulled Chardonnay

I seen the recipe that TxBrew posted on Oct 29th and decided to make up a batch for Thanksgiving dinner tomorrow. I doubled it and made it in the crock pot. I'm not sure it will survive till tomorrow. Wow it is good! Thanks for posting it @TxBrew

Opinions on those stainless conical fermenters for wine?

I would like one (or several) but in a larger size. I'm not sure they are worth the money but they sure are pretty. I use 20 gallon Brutes and have them on dollies so they can be moved easily.

Antique Crusher and Press, what do I do?

That crusher is not worth a great deal as an antique but it's worth a fortune if you have to process some grapes. I have two of them and would not part with either one.

    What R you doing today?

I picked up 2000 corks at Runningwolf's place this morning, I took him a couple bottles and came back with 8 of his bottles! What a guy, I need to visit him more often! Thanks Dan!

    What R you doing today?

I racked 18 carboys and added oak then picked up a full truckload of leaves from the lawn. Getting everything ready so I can migrate south soon.

My last bottle of 2011 California Shiraz, made from a Luva Bella juice bucket and loaded with french oak. I'm going to miss this one!
