    Welches grape juice concentrate

Every running gag I've ever been a part of has run its course, and the guy most involved has always been the last to realize it was no longer funny.

    First Wine Recepie

I used 71-B since I read that it helps specifically with the acid in blackberries.

WineXpert Island Mist Hard Pink Lemonade

I think I'm going to go for it. Something to have on hand in lieu of dipping into the rose quite so much.

    Welches grape juice concentrate

I don't disagree with any of that, except that I've never heard anyone say, "Nothing personal, but I think cilantro tastes like soap." Appreciate the lesson. I've heard the same thing said about citra hops and onion flavors. I'm glad I don't have that problem. Citra hops are delicious.

WineXpert Island Mist Hard Pink Lemonade

Has anyone started to dive into their supply yet? Any feedback as to whether I should try out the Blueberry version or pass? Has anyone made both the Blueberry one and a Blueberry Skeeter Pee and have any comparison notes? Thanks!

    Welches grape juice concentrate

Whether it is meant to be or not, "Nothing personal...." is just a thinly-veiled way of telling someone you think you or the way you do things are better than everyone else. It actually is almost always quite personal.

Does the type of airlock really matter?

I couldn't tell if you were being funny or pretentious. Still can't.

Does the type of airlock really matter?

You must be super experienced, my hydrometer doesn't even go to 1.20!

Does the type of airlock really matter?

Yes, the 3 piece can be fitted with tubing and used as a giant blowoff tube for hot and heavy beer fermentation. I prefer the "S" locks for winemaking since the solution doesn't evaporate out nearly as quickly and I don't airlock the primary.

    Yeast slurry

My understanding is that the yeast slurry was intended to help overcome the adverse conditions of the large addition of acid from the lemon juice right up front. I know some start with half of the lemon juice until things take off, just to lessen the stress til things get rolling.

    Chardonnay fermentation

Be careful about which nutrients you add at this point. My understanding is that you don't want to use certain nutrients past a certain amount of sugar depletion. I don't have the specifics, but I'm sure some others do. I think the most important factor at this point would be temperature...

    Aging beers

Spaniel and ceeaton are spot on. I've found a couple of odd bottles here and there while cleaning, and my stouts usually see a noticeable improvement through at least the first year. I also sadly found a bottle of my Two-Hearted clone about 6 months late and it paled in comparison to the fresh...

    WineXpert 2016 Dessert Wines

I can't find a single review of the kit. I might have to be brave and try it out and report back, I guess. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

    WineXpert 2016 Dessert Wines

Did anyone try the Red Velvet? It sounds intriguing, but don't want to end up with 3 gallons of something that nobody liked. Note that I currently have Red Velvet Oreos and Red Velvet ice cream in the house, so I wouldn't need much convincing.

    WineXpert California Sauvignon Blanc Rosé

Sounds easy enough. I bought some syringes a while bit I can put to good use. I'll leave half as-is and sweeten the other half a little more. I added the sorbate a day before the remainder of the fpac, so I'm good to go on that front. I appreciate the quick response!

    WineXpert California Sauvignon Blanc Rosé

I must have added more of the fpac up front than I thought I was doing at the time. When I added the remainder it only bumped the gravity from 0.991 to 0.996. Just a hint of sweetness. I like it, but I think my wife would have preferred a little sweeter after I had been describing it that way...

    Do Cleaners/Sanitizers Create Off Flavors?

I already responded to the part about it smelling funny and acknowledged that it might be off putting to some. I shared my initial thoughts on its look.

    Do Cleaners/Sanitizers Create Off Flavors?

For the third time, I don't think it would cause a problem. I just think it is a waste of time at best and a way to introduce something unwanted, no matter how unlikely.
