    Another newbie question

I typically don't rack until it's 1.000 or less, however, I also work from my home, so I have the ability to stop everything and rack wine when it needs racked. :) You can sort of predict from your wine log of gravity readings when it's going to need to go in the carboy. Case in point - my mango...

    Wine giving me a headache?

I don’t get headaches, but my feet itch horrendously! I take care of that by drinking more wine.

Started a mango, have a Welch’s gallon going also to play around with flavorings.

    Skeeter pee fermenting without yeast

I’ve never started skeeter pee with slurry. I just chuck in a packet of ec 1118, no rehydrating, even. That stuff could ferment tires.

Why are my wines turning out sweet

perceived sweetness from being fruit forward. Try them in a year or two.

should I be stirring primary fermentation in car-boys?

lol! creative solution. I'd leave them as-is, it'll be waiting when you get back.

should I be stirring primary fermentation in car-boys?

It’s a popular approach to wine making. I let it go down even farther before transferring, but if I were making grape wines I imagine I’d be much more careful.

To cover or not to cover?

I secure muslin with a rubber band, and typically ferment to dry in the bucket. But then, I’m not making anything fancy.

    Dragon's Blood

It’s fine to use jam or jelly to make wine, you just use a lot of pectic enzyme.

    Coconut wine?

How did your coconut wine turn out?

    Zork Availability

Probably good then I’m not trying to impress anyone with my wines! :db

    Zork Availability

I typically pay fifty cents apiece when I buy 30. It’s convenience. Also, I can store all my bottles upright
