    I plan on doing a 3 gal. one using Vintner Harvest 96 oz. Thoughts on additions -- frozen, canned or jellied ?? in the primary ?? Bill

    Jelly wine help

    Maybe the best thing to do is make a starter. I used 2 teaspoons enzyme for 1 1/2 gal. I did mine with starter and added small increments of must to get it going. Still only got to S.G. 1.014. Good luck !! Bill

    S.G. -- 1.007 / 1.008 or 1.080/1.070 ?? Use plenty of pectic enzyme ?? The other thing is using a good nutrient schedule/ Bill

    Did a blackberry jam a couple years ago. Used a starter with a s.g. of 1.110 ,five days down to 1.020. Never got below 1.014. I believe it was because a lot of solids Used a lot pectic enzyme Bill

    Cellar Vader: No I just used juice, no berries. Start was 1.100 s.g. and yes final was 1.012 s.g. Yes added slowly to get final. Bill

    I did one using 100% juice cocktail / premier curve yeast. Back sweetened s.g. 1.012 for a 1 1/2 gal batch. Came out pretty good !! Bill
