I don't think LP is giving us codes, I think that if you are logged in, their system automatically recognizes you and applies the 10% off, nothing else neeeded

    Other Finer Wine Zinfandel ?

I find the Forte kits to be totally drinkable (and enjoyable) at only 3 months...I am sure at 1 yr they'll blow me away

So Matteo, I'm just curious but if someone skips using the C / K clarifiers, would it just take a very long time to clear naturally? Or would it never clear if you skipped using them?

Summertime is coming - Choose Your Vino

Huckleberry Riesling is my wife's favorite summer wine...but she does really like the WE Mist Coconut Yuzu, pineapple pear and green apple too..

Your concern is valid, I'll share my perspective for what it's worth (not much I know 😂)....Matteo wouldn't have launched them without doing the homework, I trust what he says. Not to call out others on the forum in anyway, but I think that the chatter you are seeing in this thread is due to...

Other Estimated "Value" of homemade Vino

For me, the FWK wines have really altered my perceptions. I have never felt like my premium WE or RJS kits ever matched a good ($20+) commercial wine. Or if they did, it took 2+ yrs of aging to get there. So I started gravitation to making mostly frozen musts. But since the FWK release, I am...

    New fermenter recommendation

Spiedel's are great fermenters too. It allows for a safer more reliable seal during EM's

WineXpert Should I stick to instructions

I am finding that I can drink the FWK Forte products after just 3 months in the bottle and enjoy them. My WE PR and RJS EP kits are not enjoyable at only three months, they need a full year + IMO

I figured as much, I have never seen a wine start clearing while under active fermentation, thanks Matteo

maybe I am misunderstanding, but I really doubt you will get it to clear while still undergoing an active fermentation. I think you may want to hold tight and see how it works out after the recommended 14 days and add the clarifying agents. I guess there is a chance too that the LP team forgot...

From what I know, the carbon does not dissolve, It just attracts all those particles that cause browning and then it bonds with the bentonite and drops out and leaves a clear wine

The charcoal will drop out, don't worry about the color at this point.

Interesting, it makes sense. I have to admit that on wine kits I do not take a starting gravity reading as I don't really care if it ends up at 13% or 14%. I only take reading to determine progress and finishing of fermentation.
