    Other Wild grapes vs winexpert

I agree with @joeswine on these. Good daily drinker. Not to be confused with the high end wines, but when I serve these to others, they really like them. I always tweak wines at this price point, though.

    Other Wild grapes vs winexpert

Yes. I like these and feel the price is decent. These are great for tweaking, for example I'd probably add blackberries to the Merlot.

    Bottling!

You might be a candidate for bagged wine. Someone on here has talked about that.

I grew up in a Sears home in the country. When my parents bought it in 1958, it still had no bathroom, so they turned a downstairs bedroom into a bathroom. Special wedding gift! Dad still lives there enjoying all the benefits of modern living.

Finer Wine Kit Finer Wine Kits

In addition to your RO, do you also have a water softener attached to your incoming well water? We have very rusty well water but it seems the softer in our case makes our tap water very tasty. We still have RO but I don't hesitate to use/drink the tap water.

Other What would Zante Currants do for a cheap wine kit

I consider the Zante currants and raisins to be about the same, although there are probably subtle differences. @joeswine has said that adding fruit in the primary forms "a partnership in the final taste profile". Hopefully he'll comment as to what other affects there are from adding Zante...

    Other RQ and LE sale!

I would agree with @She'sgonnnakillme regarding the year mark or longer. Also, with cheaper kits I've found tweaking using @joeswine suggestions with adding f-pacs in primary helps at least lessen the kit taste.

    WineXpert Chardonnay Winery Series kit

Great experiment @Rocky. I've had very good luck using @joeswine tweaks. I'll look forward to your updates.

    Other RQ and LE sale!

I have purchased the Maselan and the grenache carigan. These are great prices. I've found good deals from this company. Thanks for spreading the word.

Vineco Kit age - do they go bad?

I use older kits also with no issue. I would only care if I paid full price. :tz

Good to know. Thanks for the information.

    Apres Reisling Dessert Wine Kit

Thanks Joe. I just added the quart. What ABV did you end up with? This one seemed to be low for a dessert wine.

    Apres Reisling Dessert Wine Kit

Thanks Bob. I found the instructions and printed off a copy for my notes but they are generic. They did answer my question about added sugar because they said that's only for the dessert wines and not Ice Wines. I know that sweet rieslings wouldn't have oak, so I just assumed I have everything...

    Apres Reisling Dessert Wine Kit

I'm about to start this Riesling Ice Wine kit and it was missing instructions so wondering if it might be missing anything else (like sugar packet for chaptalizing). It had the usual pack of bentonite, yeast, sorbet/sulphite and clearing agents, plus an F-Pack but nothing else. Anyone have...

    First batch nerves

Yes to the All In One. I couldn't (easily) do what I do without it. And these for moving carboys between rooms.

One of my current favorite songs. I guess I'm going through a '70's phase. Fun fact: this was Bruce Springsteen's only number 1 hit, but the hit was sung by Manfred Mann.
