    red blend ideas

You all have inspired me. In addition to ordering 3 lugs of Merlot which I made last year I ordered 3 lugs of Cabernet Franc. I plan to ferment separately and have a FWK Cabernet and then do some blending and expect to have some single bottles of each or maybe some different blends.

You could have sent it usps.😊 A friend of mine found some golf shoes that they wouldn’t ship to Belgium. He shipped them to my house and I shipped them usps 1st class package to him. Started in late July..they made it to Belgium August 3rd. Then back to Chicago, then NY, Portugal...

Sorry. Just saw your reply. It’s nice. Yes slow, although we covered a lot of ground in an hour Feels like what it is…an airship. Kind of a floating feeling with some yaw and roll. The new airship is quieter and bigger than the old. Seems crazy as we had a window open the whole time.

    What's for Dinner?

Last night. Shrimp fajitas/tacos. Onions and green peppers leftover from pizza night sautéed in garlic, hot sauce and some spices with the shrimp. Added some lettuce and cheese with creamy Baja sauce.

    What R you doing today?

Keep sending pictures. I always wanted to build a timber frame building or house. I researched and even had some plans, but never pulled the trigger. At our last house we had an old late 1800’s timber frame barn (mostly hand hewn from) that was a big reason we bought it.

    What R you doing today?

I felt bad for a few days after my 1st- tired, weak. I thought I had Covid, but tested Twice and no. 2nd is coming up in Oct. I’m not looking forward to it. I had reactions to the Covid shots, but never to a regular flu shot, hopefully not a new normal for me.

    Bluestar Owners?

Dual fans side by side in the hood. It is noisy when on full speed.

    Bluestar Owners?

So sounds like your heads been turned by the Modern-aire option 😊. However, regarding my Blue Star it has double fans so 1200 cfm. It is 24” deep which reaches over the burners on mine. It has easily removable baffles. I didn’t build this house, but after having this Blue Star I’m spoiled and...

    Your Fav Pinot Noir Kit?

I’m not normally a Pinot drinker, but did did a FWK Pinot with Dble grape pack last year. Bulk aged for 6 months then bottled. I like it and one of my Pinot drinking friends also said it’s very comparable to commercial ones he drinks. Also entered in fair this year and won its class 2nd from...

    What's for Dinner?

Coyote Grill with a steel made flat top insert. Fontana Forni PizzaOven. Also have a smoker that I just pull out when needed. It’s nice having the extra counter space and storage (turkey fryer etc in cabinet).

    3rd Iteration Winemaking Room

Thanks for the response. Yes I started out in this house cleaning stuff in the basement shower so I can relate. My original plan was to get a commercial 2 tub sink and put in in an area behind that room, but since then we have converted that area into storage. I think I’m going to live with...

    3rd Iteration Winemaking Room

My 1st winemaking area in 2017: Then we moved and I was able to create a larger area with dedicated sink area and carboy cabinet: But that area was co mingled somewhat with my workout room (a big, open area) So now I’m going to build some walls and creat a new space. This is the current design...

    What's for Dinner?

Another recipe for the new flat top. Chicken and shrimp fried rice with vegetables. No real presentation, to make it easy I just put it all in a big bowl. It still was good and I’ll make it again.
