Also, looking at that file, if it were in Word, I doubt it would be much if any smaller in size or faster to download. It is the map graphic that will make that file slow to download on dial-up. It will be the same in Word.

You post a Word file the same way as a PDF. Of course, you have to have the file in Word to do that. :h

    Newb advice

Oh yeah, forgot to add about cleaning. Kegs are easy to clean. Like Gaudet says, use some Oxy Clean or equivalent. What I do is put in the amount of powder to make 3 gallons worth of cleaner. Then add 3 gallons of warm to hot water. I put the lid on the keg and give it a quick shot of CO2 to...

I also forgot to add, you can convert those keggerators to acceapt corny kegs. You have to change the tap connectors. It is basically you cut the lines or remove the clamp that holds the line on the Sanke connector and then place a Corny connector on each line. One gas in, one liquid out. It is...

    Wine Making Clubs

No, I never got it off the ground. Biggest roadblock I can think of was simply lack of interest. I had one person interested who lived probably 100+ miles from me. I never did continue to pursue.

WineXpert First of the Limited Edition

I am not much of a white wine drinker but I have to say, the Trio Banco, at least if it is as good as the 2006 vintage is the best white wine I ever drank. Besides making a Pinot Grigio for the wife, that is one white wine I would make for myself.

    Newb advice

I also recommend Craigslist. Do not buy a "New" keggerator. They are pretty pricey and you find used one all the time. I would say obtain a used fridge and make your own but if you cut yourself cleaning a toaster.....................

    Use a secondary or not?

On average, the only time I rack a beer is if I am brewing a lager. I will start it in a bucket and rack to a carboy to lager. I would say 98% of my brews are start to finish in the same vessel.

WineXpert How do I filter cloudy Riesling?

Is it pretty cool in the area the wine is sitting? That will slow down the clearing process. Also, as said if the wine is not de-gassed properly, it will slow down the clearing. One other question. Did you add the clearing agent and bentonite at the beginning? I have never seen a kit wine not...

Excellent gesture. Hopefully someone is local ( I wish I was as I love your part of the country) can benefit from your kindness.

    Cantaloupe Wine

I did a Cantaloupe wine once with a very similar recipe. I didn't add the Kiwi though. It was ok, nothing special. I was hoping of a more fresh fruit cantaloupe flavor than was there. It was on the thin side as well.

    beer kits

If you have lager capabilities try one of the American Light Lager kits with a lager yeast. It will be more flavorful than a mass produced beer but close to what you are expecting.

    Beer difficulty vs wine

There are quite a few good IPA kits out there. Where do you shop? Local or online? If local get a recipe and go to the local shop and make up your recipe. If online, check out places like More Beer, Northern Brewer, Midwest Brewing, Austin Home Brew etc that make up their own kits with fresh...

    Karankawa Pale Ale

Wade is right, It was just a name they made up to name the kit. All of the vendors do that when they make their own kits. I always recommend if you are buying a kit to buy one that they make up in house as opposed to the Tru Brew type kits that are mass marketed. From reading the kit...
