    Anyone here interested in Blogging?

Thats one plan, I really want some of our own videos. Right now I have a few You Tube videos on making a wine kit, etc. I have a Cam Corder but no idea on how to edit video. I would really love some graphics like banners, logos, etc as well.

stubborn film on interior surface of carboy

Oxy Clean, One Step, Easy Clean, PBW are all per-carbonate cleaners. I have never had an issue with any of them staining glass. Plastic hoses is a different story. I will say though that after I clean with these products, I do rinse them. If you don't rinse it will leave a film. I then let the...

Mild wine odor in empty primary okay?

You ought to be just fine. I used to have a wine odor in my buckets until I started using PBW myself. Anyway, I would use a bucket with a wine odor for beer but I wouldn't use a bucket with a beer odor for wine. My beer buckets have much more of an odor than the wine buckets. PBW won't knock out...

    Anyone here interested in Blogging?

Like Green Mountains said, it is a series of short articles. If you have any type of writing skills at all you would be a perfect candidate. You have a very nice muscadine vineyard and extensive experience making wine with them. A series of short articles on the muscadine life would be...

If there dude would ever come hook up the heat in the shed I would brew. I am getting really tired of his excuses. I have all of my stuff packed up in the house waiting to move it to the shed. It should of been done 3 months ago.

    Quick drinking Cab?

Just like you said, what ever he buys at the wineshop while he is waiting for his Cab to properly age. If he is a wine enthusiust, he is probably going to be disapointed trying a Cab early. It's truly a waste of good wine to. I would compare drinking the wine toearly to making kids work in a...

    Best place to start

George does not own this forum (he has one to) but I will add that he is who I would contact as well. I see you are in upstate New York? You may look for vendors closer to you but as said, I can vouch for The Winemakers Toy Store aka Fine Vine Wine. I have bought 90+% of my winemaking stuff...

Just broke in my new Portuguese Floor Corker

Yup, I haven't heard anything bad about them. They really aren't that expensive either and make the world of difference. I have the Italian model but if for some reason I would ever have to get another, I would get the Portuguese version.

Sanitizing / Cleaning - Steam Cleaner?

I use Star San as well. It is a foamy product but don't let that bum you out. The foam actually gets into everything and help sanitization. When mixed properly to it is an edible product so if you have some foam in a carboy, you can add your wine or beer with out worry. You can also obtain Star...

    Italian Wine Regions

It could be done. Would have to copy the text as well as the pic and paste it in Word. I don't have Word on my Mac. I guess I could drag out an old machine and do it. Well, I guess I could do it on my Mac as the word processer program will save as a .doc format. If I can remember tomorrow when I...

    What reading is considered sweet?

In my opinion, semi-sweet and semi-dry are the same thing. Kind of like a glass of water is half full or half empty. Whats the difference? :h 1.010 would show some sweetness.
