    MAKING A GSM

Your reply is perfectly appropriate and appreciated. And you are perfectly right the yeast IS doing all the work even though it feels like I’m doing it lol! Thanks again

    MAKING A GSM

Awesome, thank you so much for your input. I really appreciate it. Sometimes it’s easy to overthink things, I guess it’s best to just keep it simple. Very happy to have a place where I can go to ask questions from people who have more experience than me.

    MAKING A GSM

This year I am making a GSM and am wondering if it is best to use yeasts that compliment each varietal or to use the same yeast for each one. Will 3 different yeasts combine well to create a great GSM. Any help would be appreciated.

Yes they do! Next year I would like to look for cab sav, Merlot, or Syrah 🍇

Of course! Right now my current Tempranillo has turned into a blend of Temp/Cab/Zin due to back filling after racking! I guess that happens when you don’t have enough extra wine on your first year of wine making.

I agree patience is a virtue but it’s so hard to wait to see how your wine turns out. I love the process of getting there.

Hello everyone, I am a new home wine maker learning about the do’s and don’ts of home wine making. I have a great mentor right now but it’s always nice to have others with more experience who might be able to answer questions and help me with any issues I might have in my first year of wine...
