I think we have the same shelving. I keep empty carboys on the top. I was thinking about using sheet metal over the top of the boards or figuring out some sort of reinforcement

Don't rush it. Rushed wines will pick up off flavors from stressed yeast. Just make larger batches in the future.

Works been really busy lately. Will start to make more wine as soon as the temperatures cools a bit. Rushed wine tastes like rotgut swill. Keep cool folks.

Last night I went to the local Master Gardener's meeting. Nice group of people. Before that I went out to check on the garden and the deer killed my squash plants and ate all the leaves off my zucchinis. I have a couple of little bunches of grapes on the vines but they are nowhere near ready...

Get the floor corker. Fine Vine Wines has great service. You can also get stuff from Flying Barrel in Frederick or Maryland Homebrew in Columbia. Also, add yourself onto the Map page. Great to have another 'local' on the forum. :) Oh also if you like to drink beer... You can make that and drink...

I also use separate primary buckets for beer and wine.

Been pretty darn busy lately at work. The garden has been going along well and the hops are growing pretty well so far. Nothing in primary at the moment. Gotta empty my carboys first.
