    Big and Bold Competition (unofficial)

On The Fence Okay I've been following this for awhile and not sure if I should try to run with the Big Dogs or keep my puppy a$$ on the porch. I don't have anything note worthy to submit that could vie with an aged Amarone or the like or even anything with the proper age on it. I do have a Cab...

    Barrel wont stop leaking!

That's good to know. The price seemed very good, too good to be true compared to the oak. I started to read up on them and they say they should be close but I wouldn't risk the cost of the barrell or the wine either unless I was confident of the outcome.:re

    What R you doing today?

Friday night after work picked up my California juice and grapes. 4 pails of juice and a lug of petite sirah. Saturday made wine then floated in the pool. Sunday punched down and stirred then floated in the pool, cleaned up some over flow, took about a gallon out to give me some more head...

    What is your age?

    Chronologically, I'm 61. Mentally, I still feel like I'm 17. Physically, sometimes I feel like a hundred.;)

    What R you doing today?

Was off from work this week and was planning to finish a lot of yard work that I started the beginning of the summer but decided to blow it off till the weather cools so instead I bottled 50 litters of coastal white, 50 liters of Nero D'Avola/Dolcetto blend and 23 litters of my version of DB...

    Fun facts to know!

"If you farted consistently for 6 years and 9 months, enough gas is produced to create the energy of an atomic bomb." Might have to evacuate I may be approching critical mass. ::

    Wine Expert red wine kit

I've made the Mezza Luna red and while I thought it was ok I found it to be a bit thin. Not a repeater for me. Just my 2 cents.

    What R you doing today?

Well it's back to the old grind this morning but over the weekend I racked 4 carboys of the Chilian Syrah and one of Dragon's Blood. Went out to dinner with my two brothers in law. Yesterday we baby sat for our two granddaughters. It was a nice weekend. :i

Getting the answer you want fast!

Same thing happened to me the first time out. I went to a harware store and picked up a couple of spares and waited till I racked to the carboy then retrieved the lost grommet.:re

    DangerDave's Dragon Blood Wine

First Batch Okay I don't know what took me so long but I started my first batch of DB on Saturday. I went with double the fruit but without the bag and it has an honest to goodness cap I've been punching down twice a day. I also skipped the Tannin because I went with oak chips in the primary...
