    Starting a new vineyard

    I used 5' welded wire fence and it worked just fine to keep deer out. Tie off some bright flagging, that will flap in the breeze, every 8' or so to let them know there's something there

    to get rid of tartrate crystals you either need to cold stabilize your wine or use metatartaric acid to neutralize it. do google search for cold stabilization parameters and dose for metatartaric acid. good luck

    I use Blank Sheet Labels from sheetlabels.com 3.75" x 4.75" (SL571) Removable White Polyester Weatherproof (for laser printers) (RXW) 4 labels per sheet 8.5" x 11" sheet there is no residue whatsoever and labels can be removed to readjust placement too

    Row spacing for Marquette vines

    If you plan on going TWC, vines will definitely overlap each other. I had 9' row spacing and it was like walking through a tunnel late in the summer. You may want to consider VSP so you can control spread of shoot growth upward as opposed to out to each side of vine. Good luck

    Found that it did not reduce vigor at all - just easier to maintain vineyard. I think push for TWC was for commercial vineyards as easier to pick?

    I'll have to check to see. Sold the property last year so no more vineyard :-(
