Lemon Balm Wine - I'm going for it!

I would be tempted to make an extract so you could have control of additions. That may bump your ABV though which I'm sure you're more knowledgeable than I am.

Other Vintners Best - fruit wine base (fruit juice)

I added the brewers best peach to a VB peach wine and find it fairly undrinkable. It's very artificial tasting. I agree the crafted series is much better but I've only used once in their fruit kits. A little bit goes a long way. Unlike the mist type kits it can't be add during fermintation I...

    Blackberry wine recipe?

David Violante. I would love your specifics on your additions. Do you use frozen concentrate in place of water? How many ozs of chips (?) in primary? I've never oaked before with the exception of a kit or two.

ABC crafted series is having a good deal.

Buy 2 get 1 free wine kits. Prices start at 159$ for 13.5 % down to down to $54 to 7%. Not sure if you can tweak the fruit kits like the island mist type kits. They also have 30 wine labels on sale for 50 cents, varietals and fruits and a clearance on the cider and beer kits. 19.99 and 9.99...

    Blackberry wine recipe?

blackberry-wine-recipe This is the recipe I used. I ordered the dried elderberry off Amazon. I will make this again for sure. I used 71b in place of champagne.

    Blackberry wine recipe?

Last August I used 23.5 lbs of blackberry with I think 2 cups dried elderberry (rehydrated in a tea) for 5 gallons. a little tart but delicious Just bottled a few days ago with maybe 4 or 5 cups simple syrup for backsweetning. The sugar really smoothed it out. Sorry notes are at home. I will...

Other Tequila Sunrise kit (Twisted Mist)

That's a real possibility. Didn't think about that.

Other Tequila Sunrise kit (Twisted Mist)

Wow! I've only made a few of those type kits but never have I seen anything resembling that. That looks pretty chunky for a kit wine.

    Haskap

Portland nursery carries honeyberrys if your in Oregon. Honeyberries.pdf The blue series does well for me here in the Puget Sound Z8B. It ripens later so there are more pollinators about.

What fruit makes a good ‘red’?

I believe vinny is on to something. all-about-haskap-fruit-wine-honeyberry-c75e12a915ca. They are extremely easy to grow and produce early. I haven't made wine yet as I compete with the grands for the fruit. Blackberry combined with elderberry (I used dried) is a commonly combined in the...

Other Vintners Best - fruit wine base (fruit juice)

I was unimpressed with the cherry as well. After reading through the tweaking cheap kits thread I added toasted cocoa nibs and instant coffee to try and add some chocolate flavour or at least make it less one note. After a few more months I added chocolate flavoured Torani which kicked off a...

Other Vintners Best - fruit wine base (fruit juice)

I'm curious If you've made frozen concord concentrate wine before and how it compares to Vintners. I made concentrate once when I first started. It was quite decent. I think it was aged at least 8 months and had several heavy top offs from several other kits and odds and ends at bottling.

Caraway Wine - I'm going for it!

What's the worse that can happen? I think I'd make those to make a nice wine vinegar for dressings. So the list grows.

    Other Wilko white wine kits

Sorry I think I linked wrong thread and I can't find it. Hopefully someone wiser than me will reply. He may have said don't heat the fruit when it's post fermentation😕. I will keep looking as I need to know. If that's the case you could get a bag of frozen light coloured (tropical)...

    Other Wilko white wine kits

https://www.winemakingtalk.com/threads/tweaking-cellar-master-low-end-kits.77132/#post-857411 joeswine has some great advice on adding an f-pac post fermentation. Basically you take some of your wine and simmer it with the fruit or flavour profile you wish to add, citrus maybe. I made a...

    I need help! (Foodies)

My hubs personal favourite is Chicken Vesuvio. Comfort food at it's finest. I'd give a recipe but It varies with ingredients on hand. Green tomato curry. The extended family demands this one so I now can it and grow extra toms to meet demands. I blend a jar with coconut milk, veg and...

Ever added blueberry reduction to chardonnay?

What do you have to lose? I hate to waste a good fruit. As pops used to say nothing ventured nothing gained. Seriously no big deal and please take us along for the ride

Ever added blueberry reduction to chardonnay?

I'm curious as to what common beginner type wine kit/varietal grape that blueberry would be a good addition to. I always pick up a beautiful nugget from your responses. My only experience with blueberry is the Island mist kit. I think that was a pinot noir. I did bump the sugar and lower...
