    Corks and how it's made

Please read and like this thread if you've appreciated it's content. It's part of our hobby that I didn't know about. Enjoy and happy fermenting. http://www.kuriositas.com/2013/11/cork-harvest-for-patient-farmer.html

    Sediment in my bottled wine

I'd put it back in the carboy and add a new batch of clearing agents. I filter everything with great results and no loss of flavor and have never had this problem. Good luck and please post your results.

Affordable Commercial Wines by Varietal: Cabernet Sauvignon

Go to Costco - look for a 2007 Rioja, black label, 92pts, $10, as good as any red I have drunk. It's big and you'll be back for more. My last trip I bought 10 bottles. Next trip, I empty the shelves.

    Decanting a Cab

Yeah, and if you drink a bottle every hour while your waiting, it even gets more interesting. I just decanted a 2007 Reserve Rioja, for 15 minutes, and it was great. I'll be toasting all of you Jan 1st with my first batch, Stag's Leap Merlot, from Jan 2012. I never thought it would make it...

WineXpert Winexpert adds a new kit!

Geek, you can't make that statement and then not tell us who it is. Well, I guess you can, but it doesn't go well with the spirit of the season, or your pals.

WineXpert Winexpert adds a new kit!

I don't see this as an option on Brew & Wine's website. Doug, do you, or, are you going to carry this Eclipse?

    I need help!

Rocky, you of all people, I thought would have this down to a science. Do you have the All-In-One vacuum pump? Since I have mine, bottling is very easy. Cleaning bottle labels is another issue, but like someone said, that can be done days prior to bottling. I have found a bottling supplier...
