Island Mist Peach Chardonnay starting SG

Arne... thanks for the advice. It has been in a warm place for 3 weeks. It was in a cool place for 2 weeks then I moved to warm place. It’s been a total of 5 weeks since I added the fining agents and F-pack. I figured I needed to rack off of the sediment. I will rack tonight with my all in...

Island Mist Peach Chardonnay starting SG

Well ... my island mist Chardonnay peach has not cleared yet. I looked back at the instruction sheet 3 weeks ago and noticed it said after adding clearing ingredients to keep the carboy at 72-75 degrees. Well I had shoved it in a cooler area around 64-66 degrees after adding fining agents...

I went ahead and did the 6 gallons but added a peach juice .. welches I think) to primary and a little extra sugar to bump the ABV to 11%. Glad to hear yours cleared well. Thanks !!

Good morning Donatelo! We started this kit April 27. It seems to be clearing more slowly than some other kits I have made. Did yo notice this? Has yours cleared?

Probably a stupid question : VSP vs TWC

I have some QA23. Used it on a Vidal blanc. Very nice yeast.

Probably a stupid question : VSP vs TWC

As far as I know there’s only one winery here hat has Brianna wine. It is a very unique flavor profile to me. Carmel and fruity .. pineapple.. they serve it as a semi sweet. What’s the flavor profile of yours ?

I love Brianna grapes. Those grapes you are holding are beautiful. I really appreciate your time in answering me.

Interesting How long have you had them on VSP? Where are you located ? Most of what I have read talks about vigorous vines needing a TWC rather than VSP. Do you have any pics you could share? Thanks for chiming in!

Probably a stupid question : VSP vs TWC

Thanks for all the input. To answer a few of your questions we have about 2300 vines. Chambourcin is our main red and we have more of them than any. They are TWC now. We are getting ready to trellis some we planted last year. Up to now they have been in grow tubes then secured to bamboo. We...

Island Mist Peach Chardonnay starting SG

We just made the raspberry merlot. Bumped it a little in the ABV. Made the peach raspberry sangria last year exactly by the instructions. It went fast. Everyone loved it. A little low on the ABV but we don’t like a too high ABV. But yea 10% is a good target

Probably a stupid question : VSP vs TWC

So I am researching these two trellises. I know VSP is better for upright growth. TWC for trailing growth. But my question ... I can’t find any info on WHY you couldn’t use VSP rather than TWC on trailing varieties. Would there just be too much canopy to deal with? A decrease in harvest...
