Smoked turkey vs deep fried chicken
Today I have a 20lb turkey that I spatchcocked and is now sitting on the WSB with apple and cherry wood.
Rubbed with salt rosemary sage parsley and thyme ( are you going)?:h
As well as some other savory spices.
So, what is everyones take on using lump charcoal vs briquettes for a low slow smoking process? I read somewhere, will search for it that briquettes are better suited for this type of cooking while lump would be better suited for grilling?

My tomatoes in particular are just going crazy!

We bottled 10 cases yesterday, consisting of our 2015 crush.
Cabernet/Merlot blend and the other being Zinfandel.
I am very pleased with how they both are at this stage in terms of flavor, the nose has some way to go I think for me.
