I've seen several posts now that mention adding an f-pac to the batch... but, what is an f-pac?

Are the 3 interchangeable? I picked up Na-Meta and have been sanitizing all my equipment with it. But I see some recipes calling for K-Meta or Campden tablets. Can I use Na-Meta in recipes? Excuse my n00biness ;)

Pretty sure it supposed to be a french colombard. The box looks liek a generic box used for different types. It has check-boxes on the side that say - Village Vintner - Renaissance - Cellar Reserve - Summer Breeze - Vintage Harvest - Porto - Sherry - French Colombard Packaged...

I picked this box up for 20$, and was surprised to find once I got home, it looks like 2 kits in the box?? Does this still look good to you guys? Not sure the brand, Village Vitner? It's a French Colombard according to a sticker on the box. Not ever having seen a white wine kit other than this...

Picked up a couple dozen used bottles from a bud at work, but there's a mix of greens and browns. Is there a difference in the bottles? I'm leaning towards no, but figured it wouldn't hurt to ask :)

The one I picked up is a preset constant. I'm guessing there are adjustable ones available... anything for a price ;) I figure if I notice it's too warm, I'll stick a towel in between the heater and bucket. The package said it will "Maintain 30-35L of fluid at 23-28deg C"

The belt is 25W, so not much at all. You could run 6 off a 6outlet power bar and still have 'juice' to spare lol

But for the stuff that was sitting idle and open in a musty garage for a while, would just the K-Meta be enough?

Going to be making wine in my basement, which is typically 19degC. Should I be looking at a belt type warmer for my fermenting bucket? Right now only thinking about doing kits until I get my feet wet :)

When you say 'soak', do you mean just coat all the areas in the stuff and let it sit, or actually fill it and let it soak? 6gal carboy and pail is going to take a lot of pink stuff if I have to fill em.

So I can use the pink stuff as a primary cleanser but rinse well and sanitize before starting right? Does the SMBS (or whatever is short for sodium metabisulphite lol) require rinsing after application? The equipment I picked up is rather old, and smells musty (sat in a garage for a while...
