    I had no problem shipping my wines, I just drove them to Vermont myself!! I live in New Jersey so it only took me 3 1/2 hours. It was alot easier and cheaper than last year.     Beginner racking question...

    Welcome Mr. Alive!! What I do when I need to suck up some head space is have some glass marbles on hand and after sterilizing and rinsing them I add them to the carboy to have the wine fill up the empty space. Hope this helps and gives you another option. Dave

    Sorry I forgot to answer your other question. I picked up the ice at 10 am and as of 7 am the next day there was still about half of the ice left!! I put it in a cooler and worked out of that. The ice is 110 below zero so you gotta be careful!!
