    Don't Dump That Wine Yet!!

I pretty much bought the darkest Maple syrup I could, added orange juice and made it like a mead. I used about 3/4 of a gallon of it (I think) to make a 3 gallon batch.

    Don't Dump That Wine Yet!!

I have 3 gallons of maple going, i've taken a few tastes of it, and all i can say is that it tastes like breakfast! It tastes pretty good, but is only a few months old.

Out seeing a movie and getting a Pedi with my best friend, then if I get home early enough, maybe starting a gallon of blueberry mead! :-)

    What is this photo?

I probably haven't been fishing since I was ten, I don't actually even own a fishing pole. I'd probably stop at Walmart on the way and pick up one of those little kid's ones with the cartoon characters on it just for fun! :fsh

    PH Meters

I had a Hanna pH meter, but it crapped out on me after about 6 months, so a few weeks ago I bought the Milwaukee. I've only had it a few weeks, but so far it is working great!

    Hi

Welcome to the forum! I agree with the blueberry, I use the frozen Wyman Wild Blueberries, they are small and pack a lot of flavor! It tastes really good too.

    What R you doing today?

I spent the past few days cleaning/cooking. Every year for Easter we have a crowd of anywhere from 25-30 people in the house (last year broke the record of 34 people). It gets pretty crazy around here, but a good time! We have an Easter Egg Hunt, was well as a "Peep Show" (a peep decorating...

    Just plain Mead.

I'm new to making mead as well Arne, I started a 3 gallon spiced batch last October, and have several one gallon experimental batches lying around as well (vanilla, cherry, mint and will be starting a blueberry after Easter). I haven't checked their gravities in a while, so I don't know how...

What to do with these beautiful mangoes!

I'm jealous! I love them, especially when really ripe, I just hope they retain some of that flavor after fermentation. If I do a straight mango, It'll probably be about a gallon or gallon and a half. I'll probably try and buy some more next week if I can. I wish I could get them that cheap!

What to do with these beautiful mangoes!

Love it! I'm on a mead kick lately. I have about 20 or so gallon jugs lying around, so I've been doing a "Mead of the Month".............Mangomel just sounds interesting! I love the idea of the peaches too.......maybe if they still have them I'll pick more up and do both!

What to do with these beautiful mangoes!

So I picked up 2 small crates of mangoes from Sam's Club, they were perfectly ripe, ended up with about 8 pounds of meat from them. I thought of making a small batch with them (will probably do a gallon or so). It seems like they would have a little bit of a weak flavor since they aren't...
