    So for easter i opened a bottle of the cab i started this past fall. When i opened the bottle it shot out like a shaken up soda bottle and it had the taste of sparkling wine. Is there any way to clear this issue or does it just need to sit longer. I started with juice and racked it twice...

    i don't mind air locks but when you say checking them. What am I checking for? I thought when the air locks stop burping It was ok to switch to a cork. Could I leave them on until I'm ready to bottle?

    We had to move all of my grandfathers wine making equipment to my house and in doing so we had to take apart the press to get it out of the basement.
