That's exactly the problem, after I'm long gone it would be too bad to hear them say, "why didn't that cheap SOB use good corks"? Actually I'm always impressed when I pull a 2" long straight grain beautiful cork out of a good bottle of wine. bk

"Non-chamfered with agglomerated cork center and natural cork disk ends" seems to be the standard that most wine shops sell, does anybody use solid corks for their good wine? bk
