Crap. Aspirator arrived without collection jar

Well I just started to degas for the first time with the aspirator. After doing it a couple of times with the stick I can say this is a million times better. I'm actually surprised on how long it is taking. It's been going for 15 minutes now and still a bunch of gas. On a side note I see...

    WineXpert Your favorite Winexpert Red

I actually went with the Cellar Craft Washington Merlot. Most of the wines I drink come from Washington so I figured that's what I should make.

RJ Spagnols Suggestions for next wine kit.

That's what I did. Made 3 whites. About to start a chard that I'm going to age for six months and then a red I'm going to age for a year. Until then I'll just keep buying red from the store. We drink mostly white though.

    RJ Spagnols Grape skin kits

I'm glad I came across this thread. I didn't realize the other companies made grape skin packs until I was just at my local store. I think I'm going to order the Washington Merlot Cellar Classic. I'm pretty excited. It will be perfect for next spring.

    WineXpert Shiraz/Grenach/Mourvedre

The 7 dollars is only for low weight items. Wine kits will cost more for shipping. It will say price + ship if it is more.

Crap. Aspirator arrived without collection jar

It is great. I racked to the secondary today and it was amazing. It got away from me a bit and I got some in my aspirator air filter. So that's drying out now. I ordered a collection jar off of ebay. Wasn't too expensive. I have to rack another wine later this week and don't want to deal with a...

Crap. Aspirator arrived without collection jar

Yah I talked the guy. He made a mistake and so did I. It didn't have it pictured on it in the picture. The description said it came with one. (He copied and pasted from the new description) I thought about asking and then forgot. Not a big deal. I PM'd Radar. I did find one for about 17...

Questions re: making and providing wine for family wedding

Haha. Made me laugh out loud... I mean I actually chuckled. Some people say lol but they don't really mean it. :-)

Crap. Aspirator arrived without collection jar

Just got my aspirator. The description said one collection jar. Didn't come. I don't think I would want to use it without a collection jar. I'd be bummed if I got some liquid in the pump and messed it up. Any ideas?

    WineXpert Your favorite Winexpert Red

Our local guy is small but he only does Winexpert too. He's really a beer guy but a majority of his sales come from wine kits. After hearing about Cellar Craft I really want to try one of those. Haven't heard a bad thing. I'll just have to order and pay for shipping. What do you think?

    Transporting wine.

All white so far. I want to start the CC cabernet merlot though. Just want to hear some opinions. It's a year away. Sometimes I look too far ahead into the future.

    Transporting wine.

Yah I'll move myself. The navy is going to pay me $6,000 to move myself. 6k is worth the trouble in my opinion.

    Transporting wine.

Sorry for the double post. I couldn't find anything on this either. I'm planning on moving again in 14 months. As far as transporting wine goes it really shouldn't be a big deal should it? All the wine in the stores has to be transported. Any pitfalls? Thanks

    Degassing again

I made a riesling about a month ago. It's been clearing for weeks now and hasn't really cleared. I don't think I degassed well enough. I get my new aspirator in the mail today or tomorrow. Can I rack the wine over and degas with the aspirator? Or will that mess something up?

    Highway robbery!!!

I pay $39 for a carboy. It's pretty great that his prices are so cheap considering I live in upstate New York and everything is expensive. Can't wait to move back to Virginia!

    Aspirator with wine filter

Hey Green Mountains. Just looked at your location. What part of Vermont are you in? We just went to Bennington yesterday to check out the obelisk. Pretty cool.

    Aspirator with wine filter

Very cool. I think i'll grab one next time I'm ready to bottle. The guy in town has them for thirty bucks. Seems worthwhile.

    Aspirator with wine filter

How do you use the bottle filter with aspirator? Or are you just saying these two tools save you much of the back labor? How come you don't filter anymore Wade?
