Bought two bottles of wine today

Hmm, thats hard as I dont know anything about wine yet. I think maybe it was the taste but I wouldnt know how to describe that. I think I might enjoy a dry wine but with a different taste. I like sweet too, mind you, but not overly sweet. I guess what I missed was the fact that I could not find...

Funny you say that. I am planting squash today, not seeds though. Seedlings. Yeah, yeast does seem fairly cheap to buy.

Well, I had the Zinfandel. I really didnt like it to much. It wasnt bad or anything, just not for me. Maybe tomorrow night I will like the Merlot better.

I noticed that some of the Lindeman labels came off easier than others. Only a few of them though. I am going to do the Goo Gone thing too. As far as opening one of those wine bottles for tonights dinner am I supposed to let it breath for 30 minutes or something like that?

Right right. I kinda skeeeered of the tax man though. Even though, the head tax guy didnt get in trouble for not paying his taxes.

Bought two bottles of wine today

I bought a white zinfandel (Berringer) and a merlot (Barefoot) today. I've tasted wine before and liked it but I was never curious enough to look at the bottle or anything like that. I've also tasted wine I didnt like. I figure these are two common types of wine that are worth trying to...

Thanks, what yeast are you using? Another general question, can you keep a yeast strain or colony going?

Some observations Not all label glue is the same. You will work a little harder to get Lindeman labels off Most of the bottles are green. Some are yellow Cork style bottles have strong necks. Bottle cleaning goes better with classic rock It is useless to soak the little plastic...

    Removing Wine Labels

Ah, I am soaking bottles right now. I noticed that all glue is equal. Lindeman wine labels seem to be a little more work.

Thank You. You are right, they are cheap enough. Thats a little weird to me, Everything else seems to be of exacting measurements but not the yeast. How come¿ <---------------still scratching head

    Yeast Amount¿

Yeast amount. I've searched and not found the answer. I know someone will probably post up a link from their search. Maybe I am not searching correctly. Anyway, the recipes always say to throw in the yeast but never how much yeast. Those packets you get (lalvin/red star), do they do six...
