    Birds!

About 7 or 8 years ago the robins on our acreage kept attacking the basement windows. My son who was about 13 at the time was freaking out at them because they would come in the morning and start running at the windows for an hour. This lasted about a month I think. I've never seen them do it...

    My arsenal

I'm in, need some of that Rub 2Pups, I'm going to be in Austin next week, do you know if Sucklebusters have stores throughout Texas? How does the product compare to Tony Charchers stuff? I love my barbeque so you've inspired me on a quest for good Texas Q seasonings. Thanks Gman

PH meter question - Differences in model

I've read a few post about PH meters and many point to the Hanna PH meter model "HI 98128". Unfortunately, can't ship north of border so when looking online there are many available on eBay but they are all Hanna HI 98128 and not the "HI 98128W" model. Apparently the HI 98128W model is...

Other Diamanti milk chocolate strawberry port style

I'm doing a dark chocolate orange from the same kit Diamanti. The store that carried it let me try all of the varieties including the one you're making, they were all good but my wife (a chocoholic) liked the dark chocolate as it was how should I say more chocolaty. I liked them all so unless...

    Disaster struck, I'm crestfallen.

Oh man, you just confirmed my worst fear everytime I lift my carboy to rack. I'm sorry to hear about the incident and if I could I'd be there to help clean up but I'm half a country away. If I can make a positive from this you just convinced me to look into a vacuum pump as wade mentions.

can you add black currant concentrate to a wine kit

Black Cherry specifically. I was thinking the same in that a concentrate flavour added after fermentation say just before bottling would be the easiest. Some stated there are concentrates at health food stores. Now the next question, how much to add? I'm thinking start with a table...

can you add black currant concentrate to a wine kit

can you add black cherry concentrate to a wine kit I've generally stuck to quality wine kits and experimented a little with blending but never added fruits, flavors (such as coffee) or other concentrates to my wine. Now I'm thinking of an experiment of sorts. I've always liked the flavor of...

Cellar Craft Cellar Craft 18L Washington Merlot

The Washington Merlot is a great wine, you will not regret.

Cellar Craft Should I try a cellar craft? Which one?

Cellar Craft Washington Merlot - you will not regret. I've pretty much defaulted to this for Merlot and I've made three other brand Merlot's over the years and this is the best. My wife is the determining factor as I will drink most anything but she is fussy about her wine and this is her go to.

Just Joined the Party Yesterday from freaking cold Sherwood Park Alberta

No I know the brand you mention but this is a kit distributed by Advintage called Mosto Intaliano and the grape is Amarone. I know the store in Edmonton and they sell reasonable stuff so I think it will be find but just wonder if anyone else had experience with this brand. Thanks for the note.

Just Joined the Party Yesterday from freaking cold Sherwood Park Alberta

Was doing some research and came across the site. Looks like some good advice and talk to be had. Got three carboys percolating and slurpin on the old stuff. Anyone have any experience with Mosto Italiano Amarone? I know there are better kits but thought I would give it a try. Also got...
