What's your favorite yeast for bold reds?

I went back to check and there's a U.S. and International catalogue. The U.S. site lists it as Avante and the Intl' as Andante! So am I to assume they're the exact same yeast? Anyhow, doesn't indicate how to purchase. Do you buy direct from them? thanks

What's your favorite yeast for bold reds?

What do you use for cabs, zins, syrahs, etc? I am thinking of trying Red Star's Premier Classique (formerly Montrachet). I'm getting some Nero d'avola fresh juice in October and given that it has some characteristics of syrah, it'll be either the Red Star or my go-to, BM 4x4. What have...

RJ Spagnols Zante currants with dried grape skins?

Hey folks, I picked up a RJS Cellar Master (from Costco) Amarone "style" kit. It comes with dried grape skins. Can I add chopped up Zante currants to the mix? Was thinking of doing so at the beginning of the fermentation process (before it even starts to ferment). Thoughts? Thanks!

I am trying to edit my post - have no idea how to do that (this forum is a little tricky!) so I will just add to this thread I started... If you want the videos to see the unit working, please send me a PM and I will email them to you. I find this site a bite difficult to navigate - or I'm just...

I will get shipping costs to Virginia (I'd need you address or at least a zip). But before I do that, are you still interested at $350?

If like $350. This would include shipping if it's not anything crazy (anything over $25 I'd ask for a bit more) it's light so I can't imagine it'll be much more than that. The unit come complete and hasn't been used much. I have pics. I'll post

Sold Vinmetrica SC-300 - used only few times

Hey folks, I bought a Vinmetrica SC-300 about 4 years ago. I have barley used it. The reagentswere stored in a cool dark room and I still have a fair bit left in each bottle. I just find I don't have the time to do the testing on my batches. I've scaled back my wine making too. I can email you...

WineXpert Using less water in a kit

I did this recently... in Jan. I added about 2 litres (1/2 gal) less than was is called for in the instructions. I tried it with the Merlot. From early taste tests I can tell the alcohol is up and the taste is more concentrated, more rich. It's better for sure...

    Considering the All-In-One pump...

On #4 do you mean there's a model that racks (and not just fills bottles) for an additional $30? I tried visiting his site, but can't seem to open it... and is it true that O2 entering into the wine is minimized? thanks!
