I use the same set up just smaller pipe lots of holes works great no more clogs. :h

Usually get my pails & grapes at Corrado's but this year there was no Chilean so had to make the trek down to Gino Pinto's, like 2 or more hours for me and my brother in law and picked up Carmenere. I've never tried this before but the BIL recommended it. Another Big Red for me to love. :h

I use a vented silicone in my barrel. :h

FWIW I used D47 in a batch of Pinot Grigio I made and was pretty happy with it but I've never done a side by side to see what the difference is.:h

This weekend bottled my Petite Syrah from last year. This was my first attempt at MLF and I'm sold. Also tried a BM4X4 yeast, me likey. :h

Wow! Fermentation seemed to go really quick this go round only three day so last night pressed and racked using the old bucket press.:h

Been crazy busy at work so I haven't been on for awhile but last week bottled my Pinot Grigio. This weekend picked up 4 pails and a lug of Petite Syrah. Pitched on Sunday woo hoo of to the races.:h

I've only made the kits from Wine Expert in the beginning when I started. Lately I've been making juice pails with some fresh grapes added. :?

Every day is just a little better. Baby Steps. :h
