I had just gotten home from work, was on the night shift back then. Lying in bed listening to the radio waiting for sleep to catch me. Was about to drift off when I heard the caller on the radio say "its like something out of a Tom Clancy novel!!!!" Kind of snatched me away from my about to be sleep. I grabbed the remote control and turned on the news and saw video of NYC and the carnage, then the second plane hit and I was now fully awake. My phone rang and a good buddy of mine was on the line asking if I was watching. I think I stayed awake until the second tower collapsed. I had to work again that night and wondered how I was going to be able to function. Very surreal day...........
